Week #75

Hello Everyone,

It has been such a wonderful week! I just love missionary work and being here in Florida! This morning while we were driving home from shopping with the Scott's we received transfer calls. I AM FINISHING MY MISSION IN CITRUS RIDGE. I can’t tell you how excited I am to finish here with the members and investigators. Sister Smith is getting transferred to Riverview, which is outside our zone. I am going to miss her,  but I know it’s where the Lord needs her to be. My new companion will be Sister Barlow!! She and I served together in YSA! I can’t even believe that we get to be companions again. I am so excited for this transfer.

Sister Cooper came out with us this week! I look up to her so much. She came to Adams lesson. He is really starting to progress. This week was also our Ward Mission Week! Last week we had the kick-off fireside where our ward mission leader, Brother Cottam, talked about Missionary work and then we all went to the gym for a cultural night where people talked about where they were from and shared food and objects from their missions/countries they've been to. The youth got their "mission calls" with a description of a bunch of missionary challenges they would do throughout the week. Every day they were to report their points to their "district leader," and at the end of the week we would award the winning district.

Wednesday night for mutual we had a mini MTC. The youth had little classes on how to study, teach, and contact. Then the kids got with their companions and were able to practice "tracting" and teaching in the classrooms to the leaders. Then they went into the gym and
practiced street contacting us! The testimonies each of these youth have of the Book of Mormon and the Restoration seriously inspire me.

Friday we had a zone service day where we cleaned fences for the sunshine foundation. It was fun to get out and serve in the community. Sister Frye and I went on an exchange afterwards. It was such a blessing to be able to go to Gibsonia. I love Sister Frye she is such an incredible missionary. We taught a part member family and as she testified that families can be together forever it kindled my own testimony on the truthfulness of the gospel. I love listening to Missionaries bear their testimony.

This Sunday during 3rd hour we tallied up the points and had awards for those who participated in the youth missionary night. The miracle was that a lot of the youth took it SERIOUSLY! During fast and testimony meeting, a young woman got up and bore her testimony. She'd given away ten copies of the Book of Mormon to her friends at school. We had a Sister in the ward give a Book of Mormon to a coworker. I was brought to tears. I am so grateful for this gospel. There was a testimony given and the Sister said “this is a working church, we can not stand back and be only spectators.” That is my testimony this week! We are the hand of the Lord here on earth. We have been so blessed with the fullness of the gospel! I know that this is the truth. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Love,
Sister Kenzie Graham
