Hey Everyone!
Another week has come and gone and I have no idea where time is going! How has it almost been a month since Christmas! I am so grateful for the announcement of our new prophet! Aren’t we so blessed to be able to have a prophet of God on the earth. President Nelson is such a wonderful man and I know with my whole heart he is a man of God! “What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same“ (D&C 1:38). I know that the words of our prophet are from our Heavenly Father!
Sometimes I can’t even remember what happens once Monday comes. Miracles are happening here in Citrus Ridge though. We found 30 names who moved out of the ward, which made it nice because we can narrow in finding places now! We have been contacting part member families in our ward and it has been such a great way to find new people to teach. We found a less active sister who has a daughter, her husband, and two grandchildren who are not members of the church! We are excited to go back this week and share more with them.
The biggest miracle of the week happened with Haley Shrum. We went to her home and watched the brass plates living scripture movie with her and her mom. It helped them to understand the beginning of the Book of Mormon. As we were talking about it afterwards, we taught what it meant to receive answers to our prayers and how we have to be patient. Pam, Haleys mom said “how do you think they knew what to talk to you about this evening? I know God answers your prayers.” That was a big step for Pam to say something like that. We saw a huge change in Haley! Please keep her in your prayers. Saturday Sister Suman and I got to go on an exchange just like the old days! Crazy to think we have served over half our missions together. She is the best and I look up to her so much. We had an appointment with a member in the relief society presidency to help show her how to organize lists for visiting teaching routes! We had a lot of fun laughing together and organizing lists.
I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. The Book of Mormon is my favorite book to read. It brings peace and hope into my life in time of need. There are so many things around me each day and reading the scriptures helps me to focus on what is truly important. Please help the missionaries who serve near you! As we work hand in hand as missionaries and members the work of the Lord can progress in a righteous way. The time we have left before the Savior comes is short! Everyone deserves the opportunity to receive the gospel! I love being a missionary! I wish you all the best week.
Love,
Sister Graham
