Hello everyone,
This week has been
awesome! So many things have happened and I just don't have enough time to tell
you about them all. This weeks letter is going to be short. Between zone
conference and general Conference it has been a spiritually uplifting
experience.
Wednesday we had zone
conference and President is such an inspired man. We have goals that we set as
a mission and he gave us more tools to help us achieve them. It is such an
incredible and indescribable feeling to be with missionaries, especially when
you are all working together towards the same goal. As I have been able to
serve as a Sister Training Leader I have gotten to know different Sisters and
it is always so fun to talk about all of our investigators together!
I went on an exchange
with Sister Gafa, she is from Samoa, Thursday and Friday and it was such a
blast. Sister Gafa is in her last transfer so she couldn't drive which meant I
did. It was so weird driving a corolla after I've been driving the big 12
passenger van😂 We got to Lithia later Thursday evening. One thing I
love about exchanges is the miracles that we see. Friday we biked, oh yes we
biked. The best part was it is super sandy here and there was no side walk. It
was thee best, off roading at its finest. We did a lot of tracting with not a
ton of success. It was almost time to meet back up at the church to exchange
back. We decided to visit one more person, their recent convert Amaly! As we
were walking back to the car we saw a mom and her son get out of the car. She
was in a rush because she was on her lunch break and didn't want to talk but,
the little boy Kody did!! This 9 year old boy accepted the invitation to watch
the new Easter video. As he read the words out loud the spirit was so strong.
When the video was over he said I feel so loved. We gave him a pamphlet and he ran inside so excited to show his mom!! This was such a cool experience! Even
though the mom was not interested at all their lives will be forever blessed
because of that little boys faith!
General Conference
was amazing as always. Saturday morning we watched it with Elder and Sister
Duffin, the senior couple who works in the office. For the afternoon session we
watched it at the church with our cute investigators. All of them showed up
which was such an answer to our prayer! Rabi is getting baptized this up coming
Sunday and Velda is getting baptized on Easter:) President Cooper texted us and
invited all the YSA Sisters over to watch conference with him and his family.
We ate dinner with them afterwards and shared with them the new Easter
initiative video. We went around and bore our testimonies! I was in awe at the
spirit. I love President and Sister Cooper so much.
One of my favorite
talks from this general Conference was Elder Hollands. I love that we each have
such a special place here on earth. None of us are here to be anyone but
ourselves, although we are expected to become better! My favorite quote from
him "come as you are, but don't plan to stay as you are!" I hope that
you all have a wonderful week! The Lord loves each one of you and is so mindful
of you!:)
Love,
Sister Kenzie Graham
