Week #27

Hello My Dear Family and Friends!!

First and foremost! HAPPY SWEET 16 Kate!! I can't even believe you're that old!!:) This week was one for the books. So so amazing. Sister Minson has been packing and getting all of her things ready for her travel home. I seriously am going to miss her so much. She has taught me so much!! Well I have some exciting news... my new companion is still in Utah and will be flying out tomorrow morning! I GET TO TRAIN! I'm so so excited. I also get the opportunity to continue serving as a Sister Training Leader!:)

Monday we had an amazing FHE! Well actually funny story... We played human foosball. We held onto PVC pipe, kicked around a soccer ball, and tried to make a goal in between two metal chairs. No I didn't get hit in the nose mom, but I did break Roses foot! She took her shoes off and I had shoes on. We both went for the soccer ball and missed and I crushed her foot. She started dying laughing and kept playing for the rest of the game. We got a call later that night from her informing us that she was in the ER getting X-rays! She said "Sister Graham this is just a funny story that you get to tell your family you broke your recent converts foot!" She is such a champ. Oh how I love her. Rabi came to FHE as well and he loved it. He has made friends in the ward. He texted us later that night and said he felt so happy!

We had a zone service day this week at Feeding Tampa Bay!  It was so much fun. There was a group of high school seniors from South Carolina on a mission trip. They were there helping out. Sister Minson and I were talking to the chaperone and got into a gospel conversation. It was amazing to see how people who aren't of our faith have so much love for the Savior. With all of the craziness in the world one thing that will always bring peace and comfort is Jesus Christ. We bagged potatoes and it was super fun. Haha dad you would be proud! There was one girl who was from USF, her name is Asiling. She is very religious and loves getting out and serving in the community. We bagged potatoes with her for a good hour and invited her to come to church. She is apart of another faith and is getting ready for a big religious event that they have coming up, so she told us she would come to church at the end of the month!

Thursday morning we woke up at 4:15 because the temple Terrace sisters had a baptism for Joyus! She was the girl in our Mini-MTC that has been attending church for the last three years! She was so happy. They held her baptism that morning for their seminary class! Institute is every Thursday night and we got to attend because Rabi came. We had a lesson with him before institute and it went really well. Jacquie and Jon Michael, members in our ward, taught the institute lesson. We split up in groups and each group read a passage of scripture. Rabi was the spokes person and he nailed it. He has never read the Bible before and he answered every question!

Sunday we had two investigators at church. It was a blessing from Heavenly Father! Rabi and a girl named Velda, who is a referral. Fast and testimony in the YSA is such a cool thing to be apart of. Every testimony is centered on Jesus Christ and up lifting. Rose got up and shared her conversion story. She is such an inspiration. Then to our surprise guess who got up very last.... you guessed it, Rabi did. He bore his testimony on how the Lord had answered his prayer and he wants to get baptized. This was news to us! We are very excited that he got a confirmation from the spirit. Velda had an amazing time at church she loved it. She is from Haiti and moved here about 9 years ago. We are super excited that we get to teach her.

I love this gospel. I am so grateful for the Savior and his atoning sacrifice! I know that through him ALL things are possible. We are doing a 90 day Book of Mormon reading challenge right now and we just finished 2 Nephi! I am so amazed by Nephi and Jacobs courage. I think that I realized that the Book of Mormon gives us strength and encouragement.  I can't even believe that I get his sacred opportunity to represent him at this time in my life! I love you all and hope that you have an amazing week!!
