Week #7
HELLO!!! Family and Friends,
I want to start this email off with a miracle that Sister
Martin and I had. Our investigator Lisa came to church for the first time
yesterday. Thank you to those of you who have kept her in your
prayers. After the sacrament Lisa had so many question's. One of them being
why we partake of bread and water. We explained to her the importance of the
sacrament and why we partake of it every week. Lisa not knowing very much said
that she could feel the love that Jesus Christ had for her. She had the biggest
smile on her face. It is so amazing to see how the Gospel really does bring
happiness and joy into peoples lives. Lisa enjoyed the rest of church and also
let us know that she thought that relief society was a social hour. We chuckled
with her and told her that the sisters don't always comment that much. As we
walked Lisa to her car she began to cry! With tears in her eyes she asked us,
"How is it that you just met me, but I feel like you really do love
me." We told her it's because we do love her, but it is through our Savior
Jesus Christ example that we are able to love her to the fullest. She gave us a
hug and said that she was excited to get baptized and would be attending church
with us for the rest of her life. I couldn't even believe what she was saying.
I know that the spirit was the one who did all the hard work! Man am I grateful
that our Heavenly Father gave us someone who will always testify of the truth.
We also got some exciting news last week! We get to wear
pants now to protect us from them bugs down here. I am so grateful that
the brotheren have allowed us to wear pants. My companion the other
day had 15 Mosquito bites and she did put on bug spray.
I don't have too much time today but I want to bear my
testimony that I know that the church is true. One thing that has been a huge
blessing on my mission is the Book of Mormon. I know that it is the word of god
and that the Prophet Joseph Smith is a prophet of god. There is no way that he
being as young as he was, could have written such a profound book, but through
god he was able to translate it so that we could have it today. It is the
Keystone to our religion and can answer any questions that you might have. I love
this gospel, I love my Savior and I LOVE BEING HIS MISSIONARY!!
Love,
Sister Kenzie Graham
